A New Beat: Limited Edition CLOT Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1
A collaboration worth writing home about, the Beosound A1 Speaker by CLOT and Bang & Olufsen, a luxury audio brand, is capturing attention with a new project. The blood-pumping results are said to highlight the mission of CLOT by marrying West and East.
The Senior Vice President of Product Management and Brand Partnering at Bang & Olufsen, Christoffer Poulsen, explained that the duo worked together with “a passion for modern craftsmanship and premium materials.”
“CLOT’s goal of bridging cultures through experiences and sensations to a new generation resonates with our own mission to design sound that sparks the senses for the ultimate listening experience,” continued the SVP.
CLOT calls to mind images of the pulse, the heart, the blood. The idea was to echo Jamaican reggae music of which Edison Chen, the brand’s founder (and creative director), has been so fond. A big clot logo sits center stage on the painted red speaker. Below, the B&O logo appears.
An adjustable leather strap comes off the side of the device for convenience. Meanwhile, on the technical side of things, the Beosound A1 speaker is both dustproof and waterproof.
What really takes the cake, however, is the 18 hours of playtime, True360 omnidirectional sound, and Bluetooth 5.1 capability.
Chen commented on the work, explaining that “The rhythm of a heartbeat is like music – it’s everyone’s beat, everyone’s being. Our heart pumps blood, and our blood runs our system. It’s like the making of music and the making of art, which is actually human nature.”
Gushing about the project, Chen continued: “Being able to work with Bang & Olufsen and starting a journey on product creation has been fun. This is the first step and hopefully, we will have a lot more products to come.”
The CLOT x Bang & Olufsen Beosounda A1 will retail for $299 USD upon its December 12th launch date on JUICE’s brand website.
