Style – Next Luxury The Online Men's Magazine Sat, 12 Aug 2023 11:58:23 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Style – Next Luxury 32 32 30 Days to Radiant Skin: How to Build a Personalized Skincare Routine with Geologie Fri, 14 Jul 2023 15:00:00 +0000 …]]> If you’re wondering how to build a personalized skincare routine for yourself, but you’re not sure where to start or even why to bother. Let me reframe this for you first.

When was the last time that you really did something for yourself (not to mention had it be personalized for you)? I’m not talking about a treat at the gas station or an upgrade from the barista – I’m talking about an investment in your own well-being. It often takes either a pressing, emergency-level need or a really good bargain for me to make the investment in myself. I’m working to change that, and starting with my skin.

Our friends at Geologie, a 22-time award-winning skin care, hair care, and body care brand, have the aforementioned really good bargain. In partnership with Next Luxury, Geologie is offering a whopping 70% off their one-month personalized sample set. The sample set is the key to starting a healthy skincare routine, and Geologie does its part to make sure it’s just what YOU need.

Geologie Full Skincare Solution Set

Who is Geologie?

If you’ve missed our earlier transmissions about Geologie, we’ll fill you in quickly – it’s been a favorite among Next Luxury for the last year, and I’ve personally enjoyed watching Geologie rake in awards and acknowledgments through their time in the market (they’re up to 22 awards now, impressive!). Its acclaim is growing in tandem with its offerings, and its collection has expanded to include personalized options for all types of needs.

Geologie prides itself in taking a highly personalized and approachable angle to skin care, hair care, and body care. In Geologie’s own words, “We live by the idea that personal care should be fun and sensorial, without skimping on results. With that in mind, we create products that work. Backed by facts, not fads.”

Geologie says it all there – all that’s left to say is that we can’t get enough. You’ll feel the same once you get the full understanding of what’s in it for you. Read on for a breakdown of what’s to be found in the Sample Kit, as well as how you’ll make sure it’s just what YOU need.

How to Build a Personalized Skincare Routine – Geologie’s Set

Geologie is all about creating a personalized experience, which starts with getting a clear understanding of your needs and desires when it comes to a skincare routine. The first step in securing your personalized sample kit at 70% off is completing a quick Skincare Quiz that Geologie has designed to extract just how they can help you accomplish your goals.

In taking the quiz myself, I found that the questions were insightful while also straightforward. Having expertise I can trust right in front of me is a lot less daunting than going up to ask a question of an employee at a store (especially when you might not know what to ask!).

Based on your results and preferences, your sample kit will include a mix of products that address your personal areas of concern. To give you an idea of what’s coming, here are a few of Geologie’s formulations that you’ll be sure to count on within the kit.

 • Face Wash. Geologie’s two proprietary face washes are game changers, especially for someone that NEEDS simplicity to keep up with a new routine. The Face Washes mainly aim to physically wash away dirt and oil, while quietly working hard to reduce inflammation for continually clearer skin. This step is really important for folks that are looking to win long-standing battles with acne, while also integral for anyone in search of generally healthy skin.
 • Moisturizing Cream with SPF15. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my friends in the skincare world, it’s that you HAVE to protect yourself from the sun. Geologie knows this – its Moisturizing Cream contains an SPF15 sunscreen, multi-tasking diligently to deeply hydrate and protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays all day long.
 • Retinol Night Cream. While the Moisturizing Cream works hard through the day, Geologie’s Retinol Night Cream (the dark avenger of the set) takes the night shift. Fighting off signs of aging, acne, and excess oil while you sleep, the Night Cream ensures smoother and younger-looking skin overnight.
 • Eye Cream. Geologie’s Eye Cream is the product that was TRULY made for you, especially if you’re reading this late at night on a bright screen a few inches from your face. Your eyes deserve the backup! With the Eye Cream worked into your routine, you can combat dark circles, puffiness, and eye bags for a refreshed and revitalized look.

Finding the Right Scent: Choosing Your Signature From Geologie’s Body Care Collection Wed, 14 Jun 2023 15:04:00 +0000 …]]> Finding the right scent for deodorants or body wash is a process that takes some trial and error. It also gets harder when there are so many ingredients, good and bad, that are inconsistent from product to product. Luckily, if you know you want to find your signature scent, I did some research to help you out.

If you’ve been around for more than a minute, you’re no stranger to Geologie. Over the past few years, Geologie has made a name for itself in making skin, body, and hair care accessible to all types with its quality-first, scientifically-formulated product line. While Geologie already raked in over 22 awards since its founding, it’s going for another title: best smell! How’s that for a yearbook superlative?

All jokes aside – Geologie has aligned its product mix with three unique and proprietary fragrance profiles, leaving the hardest decision in your court. Which matches your style? Sit back and think, because we’ll be breaking down their three profiles, sharing some tips on how to make your choice, and making sure you get the low-down on how these super scents are working for you.

A Scent From Each Corner of the World

As if Geologie’s signature grooming line wasn’t solid enough, it really brings the heat and elevates its Natural Deodorant and Body Washes with Big Sur, Hana, and Moab at the helm of the sensory experience. Let’s break it down, using Geologie’s expert description of your sensory journey:

Hana with Deep Jasmine

A rip curl of sweet, seductive jasmine tones transports you from your bath mat into your very own nude beach.

Big Sur with Fresh Eucalyptus

Slices of orange, lemon, and eucalyptus cider cut with hints of ginger blend into a spellbound shower escape.

Moab with Bergamot & Juniper

We’ve bottled the Great Outdoors: musky red rock canyons, crisp river rapid spray, and floral bergamot fruitiness.

Your very own nude beach?! Sign me up! These scents are all winners and having tried each, Moab has become my personal favorite, but all of Geologie’s offerings skillfully walk the thin line of unisex fragrance. I’m most impressed that in my mind, at least, each scent remains pretty genderless as the experience revolves primarily around the sensory experience of the great outdoors.

Smelling Geologie Natural Deodorant

Even better than the scents is the effectiveness of the deodorants as a whole. Having used a handful of natural deodorants in the past with lackluster results, switching over to Geologie’s Natural Deodorant was a scary transition.

My fears were quickly quelled by the facts. Geologie ensures all-day odor protection thanks to its proprietary deodorizing compound, which eliminates odors naturally, goes on clear, and dries fast with no white residue. And like all of its other recipes, there’s no yucky stuff. The Natural Deodorant is formulated without aluminum, baking soda, talc, phthalates, parabens, or artificial fragrances.

You’ll find the same scent profiles hard at work within Geologie’s Superclean Body Wash collection as well. If your needs are a little more high-powered, I’d check out Geologie’s unscented Acne Control Superclean Body Wash, which is formulated to be an effective and gentle warrior against acne on your back, chest (and elsewhere!) by treating the root causes of acne-prone skin.

Finding the Right Scent is Your Choice – Tips From the Pros

Geologie Body Care set

Sometimes having more information doesn’t help make the decision any easier, especially between these three profiles. Here’s a high-level look at some considerations to make when choosing a personal scent.

 1. Know your tastes. Compare scents and experiences that either have or haven’t worked for you in the past and take it from there. You know you gravitate towards musk or your partner won’t dig florals? That’s your starting mark.
 2. Do your research. Understand where the scent is coming from and how it is achieved. Luckily in this case, Geologie employs scents from the natural world.
 3. Experiment with light scents and work your way into the heavier ones. It’ll always be easier to ask for more than to ask for less!
 4. Know your audience! As much as a fragrance is for your benefit and experience, it affects those around you just as much (if not more). What’s the occasion?

The best way to know what you’ll like will always be to try ‘em all! The best way to get the full scope of the offerings is always to try all of those options. While a >$200 bottle of perfume might not work with this approach, replace your last bottle with the next scent in line. There’s joy in figuring it out for yourself, especially as you keep yourself clean in the process. Make sure to check out all the scents Geologie has to offer and get 20% off your order!

23 Trendsetting Men’s Fringe Haircuts Fri, 02 Jun 2023 17:00:20 +0000 …]]> Men’s hairstyles are more complex than they seem. The days of guys having two hairstyles are long gone. In fact, many men face the same problems as women. For example, more and more men have no idea what to do with their bangs. Luckily, there is a plethora of men’s fringe haircuts and styles to choose from these days.

Depending on the hair and volume, some guys go with a simple comb over or faux hawk. Others go with the classic quiff or pompadour. There are a lot of trendy styles to choose from for special events and everyday situations. The men’s fringe haircut is a versatile style that suits all men as you will discover below.

23 Trendsetting Men’s Fringe Haircuts

1. The Caesar

men's fringe haircuts

The Cesar is a simple hairstyle perfect for guys whose hairlines are receding. It’s a short hairstyle that’s versatile and easy to style. Brush the bangs forward, adding styling cream for some shine.

2. Angular Fringe

The angular fringe is a trendy look, with longer hair on top and shorter hair on the sides. It works great with the hair swept to the side or angled and choppy. An angular fringe is a great way to draw attention to a strong jawline or hide a prominent forehead. Use light to medium products for guys with long bangs. Men with shorter hair should use a solid pomade to keep the hair in place.

3. Fringe Undercut With Beard

A fringe undercut is perfect for guys with beards. The undercut draws attention to the beard and hair on top. With the longer hair on top, brush it forward, sweep it to the side, or let it gently hang over the forehead. For a high contrast, use one length on the side and back. For a bold look, try a high bald fade

4. Short Back and Sides With Long Fringe

Shorts side and long top hairstyles are all the rage nowadays. So try a short haircut on the back and side with a long fringe. That also allows for a variety of styles for all occasions. For a night out, try a messy and textured look or a comb-over for something more professional. Spike the front for special events.

5. Hard-Edge Caesar

A hard-edge Caesar usually has fewer bangs in the front, giving it a bolder look. It’s a hard style to manage and requires frequent cuts and product maintenance. The dapper and contemporary hard-edge Caesar will be worth all the work.

6. Short Fringe

Guys with shorter hair can still let their bangs shine. Short fringe features an undercut or fade on the sides to contrast with the longer hair on top. The bangs must grow out first to hang over the forehead for the style to work. The clean-cut look is easy to manage, either sweeping the hair to the side or brushing it forward. For special occasions, spike the hair for a different look.

7. Mod Caesar Fringe

The mod Caesar fringe is one of the most popular fringe styles. It works best with wavy, thick hair, allowing for a texture and a looser fringe. To style, use wave spray or conditioner to dampen hair. Next, blow dry with a diffuser or air dry to get the slick style. The mod Caesar fringe requires frequent trips to the barber.

8. Brushed Up Fringe

Most guys opt for the traditional down fringe. However, the brushed-up fringe is starting to take over. It’s perfect for men with straight and thick hair. The brushed-up fringe adds volume and style. Guys with round faces should consider a short fade with at least three inches on top. Add some strong product to hold it in place.

9. Flat Ironed Front

In the early 2000s, the flat ironed front look was hugely popular. The good news it’s come roaring back like a boy band reunion these past couple of years. It’s a slightly more complex style, requiring a flat iron. Speak with a hairstylist or barber before using a flat iron the first time. The flat iron will flatten the front hair that lays against the forehead. Use light products to hold the hair in place.

10. Long Fringe

Long bangs are a men’s opportunity to show off various styles. Long fringe is more to manage, but it’ll be worth it. It’s ideal for highlighting the hair on top with a short taper fade haircut. Top it off with mousse or light gel for a chic and charming look.

11. Faux Hawk Caesar

The faux hawk Caesar is one of the most effortless styles to manage. It adds volume and fullness to the hair on top. After a short blow dry, comb the fringe down using gel or paste to add texture. It’s a simple and sleek look that might be a bit outdated but is making a comeback.

12. Fringe With Undercut

For a daring and stylish haircut, go for a fringe with an undercut. The barber trims the side and back to one length all around without a blend or a taper fade. The style draws attention to the high contrast. It’ll highlight your best features combed over, swept to the side, brushed forward, or spiked up.

13. French Crop With Taper Fade

The French crop with a taper fade is one of the most popular looks. The French crop is a classic style that’s been around for years. Add a low, mid, or high taper fade to modernize the traditional style.

14. Cool Haircuts for Boys With Bangs

Parents usually get their boys a simple buzz cut because it’s easier to manage. However, there isn’t a parent that doesn’t go crazy for their son with bangs. Young boys often pull off haircuts made popular by teens. Young boys can go with a messy fringe and faded sides or a flowing mushroom cut to highlight their bangs. Other stylish choices include a smooth shag or textured side-swept undercut.

15. Fade With Bangs

Try a fade with bangs for a trendy, professional, versatile style. The style works in several different ways. With a low fade cut, the fringe can go long or short. It goes perfectly with a mid to higher taper. Take it to the next level with a high bald fade.

16. Comb Over With Bangs

Use a simple comb over with bangs to make men’s older hairstyles look fresh and modern. It can look sophisticated and stylish with a low fade and soft part when done right. On the other hand, try a high fade with shaved hard part line on one side for a relaxed and edgy look.

17. Textured Fringe

Once you pick your fringe hairstyle, elevate it with a textured fringe. It’ll shine with a naturally textured style with volume and fullness. Simply add clay or matte pomade before brushing the hair forward and styling the bangs. It works with all types, lengths, and styles.

18. Choppy Hair Bangs

Choppy hair bangs can go with a modern or retro look. Keep the sides short with full and choppy bangs for an edgy and contemporary appearance. Another great option is to go with an undercut for a classic style.

19. Messy Fringe

Men with curly, wavy, thick, or straight hair will love rocking the messy fringe. It goes best with a taper fade on the side and back, giving it volume with an effortless and alluring look.

20. Straight Hair Bangs

Next Luxury/YouTube

Few hairstyles compare with straight hair bangs. It’s a simple yet versatile look. To ensure a stylish look add a bit of product. Use an undercut or fade on the sides, leaving the top long and cutting the front at the hairline. The longer fringe can hang slightly over the forehead, while the shorter is sharper.

21. Wavy Fringe

Guys with wavy hair had no idea how to style it for centuries. Luckily, the wavy fringe is here to save the day. Highlight the wavy hair on top with a taper fade or undercut on the sides. It’s a unique hairstyle that only works with wavy hair.

22. Curly Fringe

Every guy will turn heads with a chic curly fringe. For contrast, draw attention to the perfect curls on top with a mid or high bald fade. With volume and texture on top, let the curls grow out to elevate the style. Use mousse to control the fizz and salt spray to enhance the curls.

23. Side Swept Bangs

Side-swept bangs are ideal for guys that want to hide their prominent foreheads to balance their head shape. Side-swept bangs require zero effort from guys with long hair. Let the fringe dangle over the forehead, or brush it forward and to one side. That allows for a loose and messy look or a clean-cut structured style. It also goes perfectly with an undercut or faded sides.

55 Coolest Haircuts for Boys Fri, 26 May 2023 15:00:14 +0000 …]]> It might feel like boys are limited when it comes to hairstyles. Historically, boys enjoy fighting, getting messy, and assuming they can run through walls. That doesn’t mean they can’t have a stylish haircut. Plus, they have more than one option nowadays. Boys’ hairstyles have evolved over the years. There are all types of cool haircuts for boys whether they have long hair to ones with a shorter style. There are so many choices it’s hard to land on one. Luckily, we compiled a list of the best boy haircuts. These styles are ideal for the first day of school, picture day, family events, or just to be the coolest boy on the block.

55 Coolest Haircuts for Boys

1. Skin Fade With Hard Part and Comb Over

Jorge Zepeda/YouTube

The classic skin fade with a hard part and comb-over will never go out of fashion. Short haircuts are all the rage and this is a timeless hairstyle that’s great for all occasions. It features a stylish comb over, parted in the middle, with a fade on each side.

The style is perfect for school and everyday activities. Plus, add some gel or pomade to give the hair shine for special family events or picture day. The hairstyle is ideal for boys with naturally thick straight hair, allowing it to have a stylish shine. Other boys can add gel or pomade to get a natural glow.

2. Short Hair With Taper Fade

Boys love the classic short haircut with a taper fade. It’s among the most popular due to its easy management. It also looks super cool.

Boys usually opt for the short haircut, but the taper fade gives it some fresh style. The short sides highlight the unique swept look on top. It allows the top to have a texture without going shorter. Many parents add texture and volume with matte hair products, giving the hair a shiny flow.

3. Faux Hawk With Short Sides

Nothing beats long hair on the top and short on the side. No, we’re not talking about the mullet. The faux hawk is all the rage with boys and parents nowadays. It’s stylish, unique, and most importantly, cool.

Use a gel or pomade to push the hair on top to the middle to form a loose but textured mohawk. The short sides, which can be shaved, draw the eye to the faux hawk. The natural style and unique appearance make the faux hawk one of the most popular modern boy’s cuts.

4. Cute Faux Hawk Fade

Most boys don’t enjoy visiting the barbershop which is why the cute faux hawk fade is great as it lasts longer, meaning fewer trips to the hairdresser. The cute faux hawk fade uses a subtle fade that’s easier to manage.

The trimmed sides draw attention to the medium hair length on top. It keeps the mohawk short and subtle yet stylish and eye-catching. It’s ideal for all occasions, working great with casual events or going with fancy attire.

5. Burst Fade Mohawk With Curly Hair

Even boys with curly hair can enjoy a sweet fade and mohawk. With a mohawk of curly hair on top, the fade and tapered sides give the style a sharp and slick tone. A subtle fade with perfect lines also turns the curly mohawk into an elegant look perfect for weddings, special events, and school dances.

6. Mohawk With Shaved Sides

The classic mohawk is still a popular style with boys. Of course, they don’t look as scary as they think. Regardless, it’s a great style for those brave enough to go for it. It features shaved sides, drawing all the attention to the spikes on top. Barbers recommend strong hair products to keep the spikes sharp and mohawk in place.

7. Short Taper Fade With Spiky Hair

The edgy and rebellious look is easy to manage and very popular with young boys. Spiky hair with a short taper fade brings out the rebel in a child. The tapered sides draw attention to the spikes, making the recipient of this haircut the coolest kid in school.

Many parents are reluctant to go this route since it might not work for all occasions. Luckily, flattening out the spikes only takes a few minutes, giving it a more elegant look.

8. Spiky Ivy League With Low Fade

Mens World/YouTube

The basic spiky hairstyle isn’t for all occasions. Therefore, many parents opt for the fresh spiky ivy league style with a low fade. It looks more sophisticated and intelligent, even if your kid just finished eating dirt.

It’s a modern style of a classic bad-boy look. The cool spikes and faded sides are perfect for family vacations and parties. Add a little more style with a deep line from the temple backward shaved into the hair.

9. Spiky Hair With Low Fade

Spiky hair and fades are popular with boys of all ages. The spiky hair with low fade combines a fresh spiky look with a comb-over in the back. It’s also versatile and looks great for all types of events.

Boys can wear it clean-cut and well-groomed or shaggy. Use a low taper fade, shaving the hard part into the side. Line it up around the hairline and temples to deliver a cool and fashionable look.

10. Slick Back With Mid Fade and Design

Boys can take their hairstyles to the next level with a mid-fade design slicked back. The mid fade on the sides and back highlights the short to medium-length hair on top, adding texture. The unique blend and design turn a little boy playing in mud into a model. The stylish haircut will make him the coolest kid in school.

11. Curly Fringe With a High Fade

Many parents go for the short hairstyle because it’s easier to maintain. Long curly hair requires a lot more attention, but it looks great when done right. A style gaining popularity is to let the long curly fringe hang over the forehead, complimenting the taper fade on both sides. The fade adds texture and volume, keeping its form even after a long day of school, recess, and playing.

12. Long Hair

Like a short haircut, a long hairstyle doesn’t have to be bland for a boy. It can still be fun, unique, and help your boy stand out. It’s one of the easier styles to pull off if your son can grow his hair long. Longer hairstyles vary between straight, curly, wavy, or thick, but they all highlight his unique personality with texture, flow, and volume.

13. Short Messy Shag

It’s no secret that most boys don’t care about their hairstyle and have far more important things to do. They want to get messy, play sports, and roll around in the dirt. The short messy shag is the perfect style for the boy that hits the ground running.

It’s a cool, casual, and stylish look that can go long or short. It also allows it to adapt to other styles, such as a comb over or a faux hawk.

14. Medium Length Hair

Not every boy wants to go short or can grow their hair long. The medium length is easily one of the most common styles for little boys. It’s a versatile style featuring texture and volume. Medium-length hair offers a balanced look with little maintenance needed.

In most cases, the medium length uses undercuts and fades to enhance the hair on top. That also allows the person with the cut to try different styles. Depending on the occasion, a comb-over gives it a clean-cut style for birthdays and visiting grandparents, or let it flow naturally for a messy look.

15. Long Messy Flowing Hair

Long flowing hair is a classic look for boys who can grow their hair. It’s a simple yet rockstar style with long flowing hair and a messy look. The free flow and dimensions allow various styles, including pushing the bangs forward or back. Another great option is to pull it back behind the ears or add some gel to hold the bangs in place.

16. Tapered Side With Long Part

It’s difficult for a boy to part with his long flowing hair, especially since it might not return someday. Long flowing hair offers up a lot of room for experimenting with different styles. The naturally curly hair goes excellent with contrasting tapered sides and long layers. For special occasions like family events and birthdays, a wash-out goes perfectly with this style of cut.

17. Short Comb Over Fade With Part

Jorge Zepeda/YouTube

The classic hairstyle is smooth, slick, and dapper. Nothing beats a short comb-over fade with a part. The comb-over turns a terrible two into a cute little angel.

Depending on the child, parents either go with a textured look with pomade or something a little edgier with a hard part. Regardless, it’s the ideal hairstyle for school pictures, visiting grandparents, or a day out with the family.

18. Long Curly Fringe With Short Tapered Sides

Kids and parents often struggle to handle long curly hair. It’s not nearly as simple as a short haircut. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible. Short tapered sides and an informal fringe highlight the dimensions and fullness. Add some gel or a light pomade to lift the hair and shape tighter curls.

19. Sweet Mop Top

The sweet mop top hairstyle is excellent for kids who like getting messy. It’s easy to fix it for school, family events, or special occasions. With a consistent length and choppy layers, the shaggy hairstyle looks great with a side sweep or bangs. It’s impossible to go wrong with the sweet mop top that was once favored by the Beatles.

20. Textured Quiff

Once boys get older, they’ll start caring about their hairstyles. Usually, around age 12 in middle school, boys want a cool hairstyle. This trendy hairstyle features an undercut or short fade to draw the eye to the longer hair. The textured quiff is the perfect hairstyle to win over their crush and make all the other boys jealous.

Maintaining the hairstyle takes a responsible kid, as it’s tough to keep in place. The easiest solution is to use a strong cream, gel, or pomade to hold it in place.

21. Short Spiky Quiff

Nothing impresses middle school kids like a short spiky quiff. It’s a cool look that is easy to maintain during recess and gym class. It’s a sophisticated, smooth style that looks great at social events or school concerts. For holidays and family get-togethers, try a mid-bald fade with bold spikes.

22. Quiff With Low Fade

The quiff with a low fade is another take on the classic hairstyle. It combines the low taper fade on both sides with the quiff. It’s a stylish haircut that boys of all ages will love. There’s no way parents or kids can go wrong with this slick and smooth style.

23. Blonde Spikey Highlights With Faded Sides

As the little boy grows into a handsome man, his hairstyle becomes more critical. They start to experiment with different styles and colors. Blonde spiky highlights with faded sides are a great place to start.

A subtle fade with long, sharp spikes highlighted with a bold color will turn him into the talk of the cafeteria. Blonde highlights are among the most popular as they accentuate the spikes.

24. Textured Faux Hawk With Cropped Sides

The textured faux hawk with cropped sides is the ultimate rebel without a cause hairstyle. It’s the perfect hairstyle for the kid that won’t mess up a strand of hair. The faux hawk requires a lot of product to hold it in place. Perfect the ideal length with texture and volume with a pair of clippers.

25. Undercut Fade With Textured Mohawk

The undercut fade with textured mohawk is fun, innovative, and unique. The slick and cool undercut allows kids and parents to combine it with other styles. For example, they can go with a textured fohawk or try natural spikes, slicked back, or a shaggy fringe. That allows parents to utilize different styles depending on the event or occasion.

26. Textured Mohawk With Shaved Sides

There comes a day in every parent’s life when their young boy grows up. That day is the day he rocks a textured mohawk with shaved sides. It features a bald shave on the sides to highlight the sharp spikes. The spikes reach a peak point with this style, requiring the product to keep the forward-sloping tips in place. It’s a bold and risky hairstyle for a kid, so ensuring it’s not breaking any school dress codes is wise. If not, he’ll become the coolest kid in town.

27. Burst Fade Mohawk

The burst fade mohawk is hugely popular but not easy to pull off. It gained widespread popularity in African-American communities since the boys have the perfect hair for the burst fade mohawk. With thick and wavy hair, barbers bring the curves around the back of the neck to the sides. It takes a skillful barber to execute the delicate and intricate style.

28. Long Spiky Hair With Mid-Skin Fade

The 1980s were long ago, but many of the hairstyles from that time are still in fashion, like long spiky hair with a fade. With a mid-skin fade, the long spiky hair will stand out with its unique style and look. Add some strong products, and boys can look like rockstars at the school dance with long spiky hair.

29. Short Messy Crop Top

Experimenting with different styles, lengths, and colors is always fun, but sometimes keeping it simple with a short messy crop top is best. The stylish haircut looks fantastic with a natural texture and look.

For events, comb it over to get that charming and well-mannered appearance. It’s the ideal hairstyle for school concerts or holiday events.

30. Hard Side Part With Taper

Try the hard side with taper for a clean-cut and well-groomed look. Parents and kids tend to agree it’s a slick and stylish cut. Simply pull the hair to one side, highlighting the hard part and taper. It’s a cute hairstyle that will make the boy steal attention without shaving off the hair or changing the color.

31. Stylish Brushed-Up Fringe

Boys love to rock a stylish brushed-up fringe. It’s a simple style that’s trendy with young kids. Plus, the hair on top adds fullness and texture. Boys with thick hair can slick it back using light products.

Other boys that don’t have that benefit can use wax pomade to hold that deliberate messy look in place. Roll out of bed and into a Sears catalog with the stylish brushed-up fringe.

32. Brushed Forward Hair With Tapered Sides

There are special events in life, such as school dances, birthday parties, and even weddings, when little boys need an extra unique haircut. Look no further than the brushed forward hairstyle with tapered sides.

Brush the hair forward from the back with a strong product to hold it in place, creating an eye-catching fringe. To enhance the hair on top, use clippers to taper the sides, adding shine.

33. Textured Crop With Design

Parents often keep their boys’ hair at a medium length. That opens up the door for a long list of styles. Textured crop with design is the go-to for most parents. It’s simple, combing the hair from the front to the side. The kids love the design, making it a win for everyone.

34. Angled Brush Back With High Fade

Pulling off the angled brush back with a high fade doesn’t take much. It’s stylish, smooth, and always trendy. It brings the comb-over and slick back together to create the ultimate style. A clean fade highlights the thick hair on top.

35. Brush Up With Taper Fade

Parents and kids all love the brush-up with a taper fade. It’s a simple style that uses a pompadour at the front to add dimension and fullness. The taper on the sides draws the eye to the stylish hair on top. It’s the go-to style for parents wanting a cute look on picture day.

36. Buzz Cut With Skin Fade

Change things up with a clean-cut buzz cut and skin fade. It’s a neat yet cool and stylish look. It’s also the easiest style to maintain but includes various ways to spruce it up. Hair designs have become hugely popular, with barbers, parents, and kids developing multiple designs. Another option is to clean up the hairline with a shape-up to give it added style.

37. Comb Over With Low Drop Fade

The comb-over is a staple of little kids’ haircuts. It turns the wildest boys into cute little gentlemen with a simple comb-over. The low-drop fade is subtle but draws attention to the hair on top. It helps that it’s such a versatile look that can adapt a sharp look with a solid pomade. A hard part is another fantastic option, especially for weddings or visits to the church.

38. High Top Fade With Line Up

Since the 80s and 90s, high-top fades with a lineup have been hugely popular. It’s a staple of barbershops around the globe. The style works best with young black boys who can grow their hair out. It requires a skilled barber familiar with the style to pull off the cool retro fashion.

39. Ivy League

Get your Ivy leaguer ready for the future with the crisp and clean-cut Ivy League cut. The updated modern version retains the traditional crew cut with a side-swept fringe. Barbers often use a fade cut on the sides to update the look. It keeps the cut sharp and fresh while highlighting the cut on top.

40. Messy Curly Top With Mid Fade

Few styles compare with the classic messy curly top with mid fade. It’s a casual style featuring a sweet mid fade that draws all the attention to the messy curls on top. The simple yet cool style works best with curly, thick hair.

41. Pompadour With High Skin Fade

The pompadour has been a popular hairstyle for several decades. It made another comeback with a more modern style. The pompadour with high skin fade is all the rage nowadays. With strong hair products, the pompadour sits on top with a natural fullness, dimensions, and finish. The classic style is perfect for all events, making the handsome little man the center of attention.

42. Hard Side Part With Tapered Sides

Boys that get the hard side part with tapered sides transform from the wild adventurer to the perfect gentleman. It’s a traditional hairstyle, but the tapered sides give it a modern touch. Parents love the clean-cut but edgy look.

43. Smart Hairstyle

At the beginning of the school year, parents want their kids to show up looking their very best. This smart hairstyle is the only way to ensure kids have the perfect year. It’s stylish yet doesn’t require a lot of management. It’s ideal for boys that find themselves in trouble at school. It features a fade with the timeless comb over and side part. It’s easily one of the best hairstyles for boys.

44. Brushed Up Hair With Classic Taper

When it comes to haircuts for boys, kids who want to be the star of the school opt for adorable brushed-up hair with a classic taper. It requires minimal maintenance, especially for those with naturally thick hair since they won’t need any product. At the same time, some gel or pomade will add shine, volume, and texture.

45. Short Mohawk Fade

One day, that tiny adorable boy will turn into a little gentleman. Then that little gentleman will turn into a bad boy rebel without a cause. That day will come when he starts rocking a cool short mohawk fade.

It’s a unique style that allows parents to play with the cut. They can lean towards an undercut or punk-rock style, depending on the occasion. They can also go with either a low or high fade. Each variation has its own unique appeal and style. That’s why it’s such a popular look.

46. Short Tapered Sides With Messy Spikes

Travel back to the days of boy bands with their choreographed dance moves, stunning wardrobes, and perfectly messy spikes that never move. Now, young boys and middle school kids can rock out with messy spikes and short tapered sides.

The spikes can be choppy and layered, perfecting the messy look, depending on the styling product used. Intense or low-key spikes are another good option for a slightly different look.

47. Long Parted Hair

Regarding boys, parents have an easier time with shorter hairstyles. Boys tend to get messy and play with their hair. The long parted hairstyle is difficult to maintain, especially if they like to get into trouble. However, boys with a long haircut should take advantage of this particular hairstyle. Once the hair grows past the ears, parents can really start experimenting with light layers and bangs.

48. Angled Comb Over With Short Sides

Boys with thick, straight hair have a lot more options than parents might know. For instance, the angled comb over with short sides is a charming and smooth look. It features long hair on top, with volume and texture accentuated by the short sides. Add some pomade or gel to give the hair a glossy shine and hold it in place.

49. Taper Fade Comb Over With Part

The taper fade comb over with part is a classic hairstyle that’ll turn any boy into the most popular kid. Even the teacher will be impressed. It features a unique taper fade to give the hairstyle some edge. Add some gel to slick the hair back to give it an added shine to help steal the show.

50. Spiky Hair With Short Sides

Turn your child into a movie star with spiky hair and short sides. Spiky hair is ideal for parents who don’t know what to do with their child’s difficult hair. Some boys are lucky to have perfect hair that uses various hairstyles. Other boys aren’t so fortunate.

Some kids like to keep a bit of hair on the sides, while others go for the bald buzz cut. Boys can also play with the style of spikes in different directions. Pushing the spikes forward is the most common style, but there’s no limit to the ideas. This is a very cool haircut.

51. Textured Crop and Angular Fringe

Robin James/YouTube

Textured crop and angular fringe cuts are ideal hairstyles for young boys. It’s a popular style that most parents try a few times. The hairstyle features an angular fringe, framing the face and adding texture. Parents top it off with a side-swept fringe for added style and choppy layers. It’s a style that doesn’t always work sometimes since kids play rough and the hair can get swept across the face.

52. Thick Layered Hair and Taper Fade

No hairstyle compares with the thick layered hair and taper fade. As noted, short hairstyles are easier on parents, and they last longer. But thick hair has a lot of fun and creative options. It’s a basic style with a simple fade but solid layering. For boys that want to impress all the ladies, add pomade and small spikes for fullness and texture.

53. Side Swept Short Hair and High Taper Fade

Some hairstyles are so cool and creative that other students and teachers will copy them. Boys that rock a side-swept short hair with high taper fade will rule over their school. The stylish, clean-cut shave is versatile and unique. Kids often add a cool design for extra style during the summer.

54. Classic Side Part and Low Taper Fade

While spiky hair or a mohawk is cool and daring, sometimes kids need a hairstyle for special occasions. The traditional style works ideally with a low taper fade to accentuate a well-groomed look. The classic side part and low taper fade are a relaxed style ideal for fancy attire. The deep side part frames the child’s face adding volume and texture. It’s a stunning style that’ll have family and friends adoring him all night long.

55. Short Sides and Long Top Style

Short hairstyles are perfect for young boys. It’ll take a few weeks to grow back, and it won’t be easy for them to mess up. Many parents opt for short sides, long top style. It’s a trendy look that has caught on in the last few years. It features long hair on top with a short fade on the sides. Some kids like to add spikes to give it a modern look. It’s one of the most popular hairstyles for parents and kids.

Introducing the New Best Natural Body Wash and Deodorant for Everyone From Geologie Thu, 11 May 2023 14:00:00 +0000 …]]> Before we jump into your favorite new best natural body wash and deodorant for everyone, let’s talk about my recent experience with Geologie. Over the past few months, I’ve had my eyes opened to a level of skincare that I would have once shrugged off. Who has time to juggle the rows of bottles of serums and creams that make up a skincare routine?

Geologie is shooting for the opposite phenomenon, and they’re succeeding. Committing to simple and effective formulas that work with as little shake-up to your regular routine as possible, it’s no surprise Geologie has raked in 20 awards for excelling in body, hair, and skin care since hitting the shelves.

Skincare for your Body

At this point, I’ve tried nearly every product that Geologie has brought into their collection. Across the board, I’ve really loved their offerings. After learning more about the scientific approach taken to combine a few super-intentional ingredients for the best results, I could really see how these formulations can help others who are seeking a significant change in their skin’s wellness. I am pretty lucky to have healthy skin as it is, so in my case, it was all about pampering. I’ve welcomed more than a few of their products into my daily routine.

The Body Bundle: Best Natural Body Wash and Deodorant for Men from Geologie

The last trick up Geologie’s sleeve in this series is a little different. Unlike their unique approaches to hair and skin care with revolutionary formulas like their Co-Wash, their Body Bundles (consisting of Best Natural Body Wash and Deodorant for Men by our standards) are the brand’s spin on two grooming classics. Body Wash and Deodorant are found in more familiar territory to the average guy (even natural deodorant, which takes up a fair share of the shelf).

I’m not expecting anyone to come to the table without thoughts of their own. I mean, come on, everyone I have ever asked is generally pretty loyal to their brand of deodorant. What is Geologie doing so differently that deserves your attention? I’ll tell you.

Geologie’s Dream Team – Best Natural Body Wash and Deodorant for Everyone

Like a lot of other products found in Geologie’s online store, the all-star match-up of Body Wash and Deodorant is available for purchase in the Body Bundle in each of Geologie’s signature scents for the product line. (Curious about what fragrances they’ve employed this round? Hold tight, that’s coming!) While value always leads the charge, it’s really the product in the bottle and how it rises above the competition that makes each product stand out.

It’s worth noting before diving deeper into each component of the bundle that there was no skimping on holding to Geologie’s standards. Sure, they could have taken the easy route, but that’s not how it’s done.

The Body Wash and Deodorant are formulated without artificial fragrances, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, PEGs, PFO/PFAa, or SLS/SLEs. It’s vegan and cruelty-free as always. And, you guessed it: it’s given the stamp of approval by Geologie’s Dr. Steve Xu, a leading dermatologist, before heading out the door.

Geologie Natural Deodorant Set

Natural Deodorant – Geologie’s Way

Even if you aren’t an expert on the topic, you’ve definitely heard that traditional store-bought deodorant isn’t really that good for you. Sure, we’re all grateful for it when you really need it, but the chemicals and ingredients found in standard deodorant can actually do more damage to your pores than you’re aware of. Geologie’s spin on a natural deodorant removes any worry about applying similar claims here.

What is making Geologie’s Natural Deodorants stand a cut above? Well, the secret behind the powerful, long-lasting odor protection that smells uniquely amazing is no secret at all. It’s Geologie’s commitment to natural, uncomplicated, and effective ingredients.

Their proprietary deodorizing compound is totally safe for sensitive skin and tough skin alike, thanks to the exclusion of typical (and harmful) ingredients like aluminum, baking soda, talc, phthalates, parabens, or artificial fragrances. Forget those! You’ll be able to reap the full spread of benefits in your choice of the three signature scents as well: Moab, Hana, and Big Sur.

Geologie Deodorant Application to Skin

My favorite aspect of Geologie’s Natural Deodorant (other than the choice of scent – keep holding tight) is the attention paid to an easy and effective application.

I’ll never forget something my dad said when I was a kid, on a hectic morning when everyone in my family was rushing to get out of the door: “I won’t use deodorant that feels like a dog licking my armpit.” Thanks, Dad. It’s a very gross visual, but one that I have never gotten out of my head.

You know, the cheap store-bought deodorant that applies wet and stays wet all day? I can’t get that image out of my psyche. Luckily, Geologie’s deodorant applies quickly and clearly and dries super fast with no chalky white residue. Phew! You’re covered for the whole day without covering yourself in white streaks or starting the day with deo-induced pit stains.

Body Wash by Geologie

Geologie’s approach to most formulations is far more unique and targeted than other competitors I’ve come across or used. They’re not afraid to do a little unlearning to understand the true best processes for your unique skin and body care needs. So, how did they put their spin on the tried and true body wash? They stood tall and made the best damn Body Wash out there.

Geologie refillable body wash pouch

Geologie’s Superclean Body Washes are a luxurious body wash, designed to be used in tandem with their natural deodorant for hygiene support from sunrise to bedtime. You’ll clean up with a bubbly lather that simultaneously hydrates, moisturizes, and softens skin.

Like all of the products in Geologie’s arsenal, the Body Washes are leaving the factory only after dermatologist testing and approval, while holding true to the brand’s quality standards across the board. In this case, you can rest assured knowing that you’re lathering up without parabens or sulfates, but with the choice of their three signature and sultry scents.

An added bonus from Geologie that you won’t find among most of their competitors is the availability of refill pouches to purchase when you run out of body wash in the original bottle. Both as an effort to add value and reduce environmental impact, refill pouches are an easy way to restock while utilizing 84% less plastic than the traditional alternative.

Smelling Geologie Natural Deodorant

Do You Smell What Geologie Is Cooking? Three Winning Fragrances

Finally getting to a breakdown of how Geologie’s scents will take your nose on a sensorial vacation. We’ve cleared through the scientific understanding of what makes the products best in class, and now it’s time to break down the options of fragrance you’ll carry with you through whatever your day serves you.

The best part? You aren’t smelling anything artificial when you crack open your Body Wash or Deodorant. Geologie is committed to only sourcing fragrance from natural sources. This makes even more sense and serendipity as you learn that these three scents are inspired by the natural world, as well.

Geologie’s Moab scent is “bright, citrusy bergamot and crisp desert cedar scents that conjure crisp river rapids sprays in red rock ravines and fresh open skies over wildflower canyons.”

Geologie’s Hana scent is “a deep, musky jasmine and spicy clove that jettisons you to the shores of Maui’s mysterious eastern edge.”

Geologie’s Big Sur scent is a big eucalyptus blast that transports to you a misty, spellbound escape amidst towering cliffside forests and fresh salty air”.

Scent is an inherently personal sense, meaning that you’ll have your own experience with each fragrance and be tantalized by different notes than I might be. It’s gotta be Moab for me. I’ve never used such a fresh and floral blend that felt as approachable and unisex. I really enjoy the deviation from traditional masculine scents, curating a more natural connection over something that just feels chemical to me after years and years of use. Which would you choose?

Geologie Body Wash Set

Combine + Save

If you aren’t already convinced that you need to give Geologie’s Superclean Body Bundle a shot, you should know that as always, Geologie is striving for value beyond what you’ll find in the bottle. Beyond the inherent savings found in bundling the Deodorant and Body Wash, you can save 20% when you use code NEXTLUXURY20, or for even bigger savings, get 30% off when you bundle it with your purchase of Geologie’s 30-Day Personalized skincare trial set.

Geologie says it best: “There’s a Superclean for every mood and every adventure. So no matter what life throws at you—make sure you smell ready for it.”

3 Reasons Geologie’s Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask Makes a Difference Sun, 23 Apr 2023 15:00:23 +0000 …]]> Before we dive into Geologie’s Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask let’s talk about exfoliating in general. I have coasted through most of my life with little to no energy put into my skincare routine. Whoops. With the exception of maybe needing to take my stage makeup off after a school play when I was young, I never felt like there was much of a need for a longer-term investment in my skin or the products I would choose to use.

If you’ve been following along here in recent months, you may have pieced together that I’m doing my best to change that. Across the board, it felt like time to have a tighter understanding of how and what I buy as a consumer and what purpose my investments serve in the bigger picture. As I get a little older and take note of the state of my complexion, my skin and skin care regimen have found themselves at the top of the list.

Geologie's Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask Applied to Face

All that being said, my lack of experience causes some road bumps in understanding. Truthfully, there are a lot of key terms in the self-care realm that I need some clarification on.

One of the big ones? Exfoliant. Exfoliator. What does that even mean? I could look up the definition (I did – it means “to shed or come apart from a surface in scales or layers”yum), but given that I’m a hands-on kind of learner, I’m using Geologie’s newest product drop as an excuse to figure it out.

Geologie became a well-trusted name in my household, especially after investing more in my own skin and body care. You can take a dive into the Next Luxury archives for a look at thoughts on other products, but today we’re focusing on their new Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask. Read on to get a top-to-bottom rundown on what Geologie is calling the “spa day in a bottle.”

Geologie’s Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask: Three-in-One

As someone who struggles to multi-task, Geologie nailing three in one is something to brag about. Here’s a breakdown of the three components of Geologie’s Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask and how they’re working in tandem to bring you buffed and brilliant skin.

 1. Facial Exfoliator – Geologie’s exfoliation formula consists of two different forces at play at the same time. There are gentle micro exfoliators to smoothen and soften the skin, while a triple play of intentional acids tag team a deep clean of your face’s pores (more on the all-star team of ingredients in a minute). Application is as easy as dedicating 30 seconds a week to lightly massage the formula into your skin and you’re set.
 2. Facial Mask – Using kaolin and bentonite clays to calm and detoxify irritated skin, Geologie’s facial mask component is working hard to absorb excess oils and minimize the appearance of pores for smooth and even skin tone. If you’ve done a mask before, you’ll figure this one out in no time. Apply a thin layer to your clean face. Enjoy the warming sensation for a bit and you’re good to go! For those with a speedy routine, you’ll be happy to know that the mask treatment only needs three minutes to do its magic.
 3. Body Exfoliator – Geologie takes all the solid scientific and successful processes used on your face and urges you to apply the benefits to the rest of your skin as well. That’s right, it’s good to use anywhere. They suggest taking a minute to apply lightly to your shoulders or back while you’re waiting for the facial mask to finish up its work.

Geologie's Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask Applied on Women's Face

Geologie’s Difference

This all sounds great, right? Well, we haven’t gotten to the part that really makes Geologie’s newest serum stand out among the competition. Like a lot of other products on the market, exfoliants are all too often used way more than they should be. In actuality, an exfoliant is more of a once-a-week application versus using every single day. I’m sure it won’t take too much imagination to picture what an over-exfoliated face looks like. Ever seen The Mummy?

On the other hand, we have the face mask treatment, which is what most people either strongly underuse or simply don’t use at all. I’ll be honest, I’ve probably applied three or four face masks in my life and each of them was used because someone told me I had to.

How does Geologie juggle these two realities? This is where scientifically proven ingredients and formulations come into play. Geologie formulated this unique blend to be used over a single week, combined all of the steps you’d find using multiple products, and condensed them down into easy steps for glowing skin. We’re talking once a week, twice max. Can you make it happen in your schedule?

Geologie's Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask Ingredients

Who’s Who in the Field

Before we go, let’s quickly run through Geologie’s varsity roster of high-quality and proven ingredients that work together to make Geologie’s Micro Exfoliator and 3 Minute Clay Mask.

The exfoliating components of the formula rely on three equally important acids to improve and strengthen skin. Lactic acid is a safe but potent acid employed that specifically stimulates collagen growth to give the impression of younger-looking skin. Glycolic acid, the smallest in size of the three players, is a gentle warrior working carefully to exfoliate pores and achieve the desired smooth glow. Salicylic acid is the heavy-hitting exfoliator of the triple threat team, working hard to reduce the natural oils in your skin while targeting acne from the inside out.

Balancing out these hard-working acids are the two aforementioned clays. Kaolin and bentonite clays are ingredients from the natural world that are used to absorb excess oil on your skin while rebalancing skin tone and preventing acne. Like all other formulations, these ingredients fall under the scrutiny of Geologie’s lead dermatologist, Dr. Steve Xu. Safe to say they all got an A+!

The 61 Best Coachella Outfits Men Can Wear This Weekend Tue, 18 Apr 2023 15:00:59 +0000 …]]> Coachella is one of the world’s most anticipated music festivals, known for its incredible lineup of music artists, stunning desert setting, and iconic art installations. Held annually in Indio, California, Coachella draws music fans from around the world who come to experience the festival’s vibrant and energetic atmosphere. It’s also a time when people get their fashion on and wear their best outfits hoping to impress everyone with their fit.

Although the second weekend is about to kick off, one thing is for sure – it’s never too early to start putting your looks together for the next Coachella music festival. You need to have your outfits on point and Instagram-ready. You never know who you’ll run into at the infamous concert in the Southern California desert…

The 61 Best Coachella Outfits Men Can Wear This Weekend

1. Boho Top and Shorts

This is a pretty easy look to pull off because it works on everybody. Temperatures can be pretty sweltering in the desert sun, so shorts are a good go-to for the daytime. Keeping them light in color not only detracts from heat but also makes it easier to match with brightly colored boho shirts. Having a button up short sleeve shirt allows you to keep it closed for sun protection or open a few buttons to feel the desert heat on your skin.

Keeping your Coachella outfit light and tonal in color is another great way to beat the heat. Camouflage yourself with your desert surroundings with white, cream, and khaki. Linen is a great fabric for staying and looking cool. At the very least, a linen scarf wrapped loosely around your neck will help with sun protection.

2. Flowy Top and Distressed Jeans

Personally, I don’t wear shorts, no matter the temperature. And distressed jeans are perfect for that rock-n-roll casual vibe without looking like you’re trying too hard. Throw on a flowy button up shirt and aviator sunglasses and let the good times roll! Black or denim jeans won’t show as much dirt since you will be exposed to the elements of nature, but white is always a good option for a lighter, more casual vibe.

Unbutton your shirt if you’re trying to show off your summer body. Just don’t forget about sunscreen! If you’re still in winter fluff mode, just keep a few at the top unbuttoned and enjoy the safety and protection from the sun and prying eyes.

Sneakers or boots are my recommendations for every outfit when it comes to festivals and concerts in general. There are plenty of people, a lot of dirt, too much sun, and frankly, flip-flops or sandals can really take a perfectly planned outfit down a few notches, especially when you’re in distressed jeans mode. Kick up the badass factor with a pair of Dr. Martens, Timberlands, or your favorite pair of broken-in Air Force 1s.

3. Flowy Top and Pants

Here’s a chance to show off a little more style. A pair of plaid pants with an easy-breezy long sleeve flowy button up, with the sleeves rolled up, is great for the evenings when the nighttime desert temperatures start to cool down.

Fitted flat-front khakis, gray chinos, or even navy pants, rolled at the cuff and worn with a short sleeve button up are always a great option. Wear the shirt fitted as well to show off the arms that you’ve been working hard for. Not there yet? No worries, you have a year to get in better shape if that’s what you’re after. If not, then when it comes to shirts, the more flowy the better. You can always wear your shirt unbuttoned over a t-shirt. Just don’t wear the t-shirt of the band you’re getting ready to go see. That’s a rookie mistake, my friend.

4. Flowy Top and Shorts

Take the same shirts you styled with your distressed jeans or pants and pair them with the shorts you wore with your bohotop. Throw on a brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sneakers, and you have just re-purposed an outfit. Congratulations.

5. Hawaiian Shirt and Pants

Take your favorite Hawaiian shirt. Pair it with your favorite pants. Done. Ok, ok, here’s a little more styling help: pair white jeans or pants (dealer’s choice) with a white v-neck t-shirt. Then wear your Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned over it to pull the look together. This will keep you from looking like you’re attending a Labor Day party and trying to wear all your white clothing at once before fall.

Another simple way to wear this shirt is with jeans. Distressed or not, a bright red, blue, yellow, or orange Hawaiian shirt pairs perfectly with basic denim. Again, a pair or closed-toe shoes or boots is the way to go in an outdoor festival environment.

6. Hawaiian Shirts and Shorts

Remember wearing your Hawaiian shirt open over a white v-neck t-shirt and white pants? Replace the pants with the same white shorts you wore earlier with your boho shirt, and voilà, you have used clothes you brought for multiple purposes. This is under the assumption your white clothes didn’t get filthy and sweaty the first time you wore them. And honestly, even if they did, the rules are different at a festival. Normal social constructs do not apply in this world – at least with hygiene and fashion.

7. Open Shirt and Pants

You’ve already worn versions of this outfit multiple times. Your biggest decision is whether you wear a shirt underneath the open button up or not. That is up to you. An in-shape body is a dime a dozen when Los Angeles is so close, but the truth of the matter is, confidence is everything. Rock your dad bod. No judgment. At least not from me. Have you seen some of the outfits and bodies at this festival? Trust me, you look great.

8. Open Shirt and Shorts

Trade your shorts for pants for a laidback look ideal for the Coachella desert heat. This is a great outfit for those wanting to show off their physique or get a little tan on their chest. Pair with trainers or boots to complete this stylish look.

9. Sleeveless Tops and Pants

Let’s call a sleeveless top what it really is – a tank top, which, in the hot desert sun, might be the perfect shirt to keep you cool. A black sleeveless top with black distressed skinny jeans, a pair of classic black Vans, and a red bandana around your neck is simple, yet stylish. Wear a long sleeve plaid button up or flannel around your waist to throw on when the cooler weather of night starts to roll in.

10. Sleeveless Tops and Shorts

The shorts you have repurposed multiple times need to be put away. Time for fresh, clean shorts. A longer pair of denim shorts, cuffed and rolled at the knee, matches literally any sleeveless shirt you want to pair them with. A high-top sneaker looks especially good with this style of shorts. Throw on a short sleeve open shirt on top and a pair of sunglasses and you’re ready to travel effortlessly from stage to stage to see your favorite musical acts.

11. T-shirt and Shorts Outfit

Brighten up your day and have fun with a simple yellow t-shirt and matching yellow shorts. Bonus points if your shorts have miniature embroidered shapes on them. Throw a belt bag over your chest to break up the color. Or choose to keep it simple and just throw on any t-shirt and any shorts. They don’t even have to match. It’s Coachella. Either people don’t care about what you’re wearing at all or they care too much. And who cares what they think? You do you and have fun with it!

The best part about festival fashion is being able to mix-n-match. Using the same few pieces in different ways to create entirely new looks means less packing for you and just makes life easier. Pre-planning your looks also takes the guesswork out of getting dressed when you’ve been in the sun and the heat for multiple days.

Adding a hat and a scarf or bandana around your neck will help protect you from the sun, which, as I’ve mentioned repeatedly, is very, very hot. Even in April. If this is your first time at a Coachella festival, buckle up, buttercup! These are memories you will not soon forget unless you just don’t remember them to begin with!

20 of the Biggest Fashion Fails in History Fri, 14 Apr 2023 19:00:03 +0000 …]]> Over the years, there have been numerous fashion fails that have left people cringing. Happy pants, mud jean vests, and shoulder pads are some of the worst fashion trends that were once popular. These days crocs with socks and tight jeans have become fashion no-nos. But of all these fashion fails, there are some that should never be repeated.

These trends, many endorsed by celebrities, often inspire fans and followers to adopt them. But like a supermodel tripping on the runway, these fashion fails fall flat. While it’s essential to express yourself through fashion, also understand it is important to make sure your choices are both stylish and tasteful. Below is a selection of the biggest fashion fails in history that need to be avoided.

20 of the Biggest Fashion Fails in History

1. Jean Thong

Rumor has it Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears wore jean thongs under their iconic matching denim outfits they rocked at the 2001 American Music Awards. That should be reason enough to highlight how horrible this fashion trend was.

2. Mud Jean Vest

Apparently, the missing piece to having the perfect expensive jeans vest is looking like you just rolled in a puddle of mud.

3. Mickey Mouse Is in the House

Mickey Mouse is a beloved cartoon character. He’s a legend that changed the industry forever. Like a classic Mickey Mouse cartoon, this fashion fail is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

4. Eyes in the Back of Your Behind

Look deeply into the eyes of this fashion disaster. When they look at you, it’s like you’re the only person in the room. Whatever you do, don’t break eye contact or you’ll miss the full moon.

5. Barley There Jeans

The barely there jeans are ideal for any celebrity looking to cause a stir and make headlines when showing up on the red carpet for the Oscars, Grammys, or Emmy Awards. On the other hand, this type of outfit is considered normal for the Met Gala.

6. Mud Stained Clothes

It appears that mud-stained clothes are all the rage these days. Perhaps celebs like Katy Perry and Ariana Grande will one day wear mud-stained dresses to match their mud-stained shoes on a red carpet. Well, we hope that’s mud!

7. Anxiety for Kids

Anxiety for Kids clothing line has the right idea. Kids will grow up to become adults full of anxiety and worry; they might as well start them young. From the same brand comes Depression for Teens and Stress for Adults.

8. So Fine Jeans

So Fine jeans take denim to a whole new level. Anyone who wore these cheeky jeans would be committing the fashion faux pas of the century. Well, unless it’s Kim Kardashian or Harry Styles. They could pull it off. Maybe Queen Elizabeth II when she was alive?

9. One Toe Show

Celebs like Kylie Jenner, Doja Cat, and Helena Bonham Carter walk the red carpet in stylish outfits, but none would ever be seen dead wearing these toe exposoing shoes. This fashion disaster is hard to put into words and something we are glad is not a modern trend.

10. Pizza Shirt

Some fashion fails are more confusing than others. Most people love pizza, but there are a few foodies who can’t stand the delightful Italian treat. According to these pajamas, some people hate pizza so much they want to fight it. These pajamas are so confusing it is impossible to tell if it’s a fashion failure or promoting a pizza fight club.

11. Elf Girl Swimming Shorts for Men

Excuse me; my eyes are down here. It takes a bold person to wear these swimming shorts featuring an imge of a little girl elf right where the crotch is. They’re so bold you might need to do a background check on whoever is wearing them.

12. Teaching the Kids About the Solar System

Clothing companies have a responsibility to help educate children about the solar system. This company accurately displays Neptune and Saturn while also makring the locatino of (Ur)anus.

13. Red Spot

Portugal has produced some of history’s greatest footballers. If there’s one thing they know, it’s soccer and fashion. The team’s unique shorts feature an oddly placed red dot, giving their rivals something to aim for. It brings a new meaning to “where the sun doesn’t shine.”

14. Crabby Flip Flops

At first glance, these crab flip-flops are fashion failures. Most people would never wear these to the beach let alone around the house. If there’s one celebrity we think could pull them off it would be Pete Davidson. He’d somehow manage to walk down the red carpet and leave with the most beautiful woman at the event.

15. Bear Jacket

Celebrities often wear the most outrageous and stunning outfits they can find when attending award shows. Some stars show up wearing black from head to toe, like Kim Kardashian, while others come dressed as food, like Lady Gaga’s famous meat dress. It’s that rare time Hollywood celebs are encouraged to let their creativity flow. That said, the golden bear jacket is atrocious and a fashion faux pas to most people.

16. Will Ferrell’s Crotch

Will Ferrell is one of the most famous actors and comedians in Hollywood. He rose to fame as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and became a household name starring in the Christmas classic Elf. Fans of the movie were thrilled to buy Elf socks featuring Ferrell. The socks also show off Ferrell’s best feature and most extraordinary talent, his crotch.

17. Coffee Stained Shirt

There are some days when everything that can go wrong will go wrong. You have a big job interview the same day your car breaks down, you miss the bus, and then you spill coffee all over yourself. It’s easily the worst morning of your life. Well, it turns out that fashion is going in that direction. Now you don’t have to wait for a bad day to look like you had a bad day. All it takes is throwing on your coffee-stained shirt and everyone will think things are going south.

18. Bad Grammar

It’s rare that a piece of clothing is both a fashion failure and offers confusing advice. There is nothing that young girls in this world can’t do. They can become sports icons like Serena Williams or a media mogul like Oprah Winfrey. As this t-shirt encourages: “girls is can the therefore.” In other words, girls can do anything, unlike this tee that needs a spell and grammar check.

19. Giving Up Is an Option

Sometimes a piece of clothing just speaks to a person. There are hundreds of t-shirts sporting positive affirmations like “Impossible is Nothing,” “Protect this House, and “Just Do It.” Well, finally, a fashion blunder had resulted in a t-shirt made for quitters. “Yes, giving up is simply an option.” So is being a poor sport, taking your ball and going home, and claiming you didn’t lose is all good according to this t-shirt.

20. Mustard Dress

Apparently, a brilliant designer was once in the middle of a wild food fight. They were trying to hide when they got hit with a bottle of mustard. As they stood there covered in mustard, they had an “aha” moment. Why not an entire clothing line covered in food?

Despite being a terrible idea, someone designed this stunning dress with stains to look like mustard. We’ve heard they’re working on a ketchup summer dress, a relish mini-skirt, and hot dog bun speedos for men.
